Hiccups

The sweetest thing happened at our doctor's appointment last week.

The doctor was using the little Doppler thing to listen to the baby's heartbeat. We could hear it, too, but something sounded a little off. Ba-doom, ba-doom, HIC, ba-doom, ba-doom, HIC.

I started getting worried because we'd never heard that sound before. The doctor must have known I was going into panic mode, because he looked at us and said, "He has the hiccups!"

And then my heart melted and I fell that much more in love with my little baby boy. It was so amazing to be able to hear him (not just the heartbeat) before he was even born. It made me so excited to meet him!
